About The Position
Learning Ladder is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join their team. This role involves working with children and offers flexibility with an Early Wage Access (EWA) program, allowing employees to access a portion of their earned wages on demand. The position is full-time, working 30-40 hours per week with shifts of 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma/GED
- 1 year experience working with children under 13
- Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
Responsibilities
- Work with children under 13 years of age.
- Complete 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years.
- Obtain Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare.
- Complete Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings within 30 days of hire.
