About The Position

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is hiring Assistant Teachers (age 18+) for our after-school programs serving K–5 students in Sioux Falls! This is a great opportunity for college students who want a future working with children. The position offers flexibility, allowing you to work as little as 2 days per week or up to 5 days. The role requires a full school-year commitment, beginning September 1, 2026, and continuing through May 31, 2027. You will be paid to have fun after school, make an impact, and build your experience.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) and active auto insurance
• Must meet licensing requirements: no substantiated child abuse/neglect reports and no felony within the last 5 years
• Successful completion of all agency background checks
• A genuine desire to help kids learn and grow!
