Assistant Teacher, Everbrook Academy of Foggy Bottom
About The Position
This is more than just a daycare job. It’s a journey where you learn, grow, thrive, and play every day. The Assistant Teacher helps provide daily care for children, maintains a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and supports children’s development. The role includes learning to observe and assess children, plan for their needs, and communicate effectively with families. Extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics is provided. The position is with Everbrook Academy of Foggy Bottom. Compensation is $18.49–$20.17 hourly, based on position, education, and experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options are available. Full-time employees receive immediate medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match. Limited medical coverage is offered to part-time workers. Education assistance, including tuition reimbursement and certification, is available to all employees. The work week is Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
- Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
- Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
