About The Position

The Goddard School of Royersford is seeking a passionate Assistant Teacher to create meaningful learning experiences for children. This role involves supporting the Lead Teacher in a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment, assisting with curriculum implementation, building relationships with children, maintaining classroom order, supporting daily routines, and communicating professionally with families and team members. Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with children preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and grow in early childhood education
• Must meet Pennsylvania state licensing requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required for child care duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with implementing classroom activities and learning experiences using our Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Support children's daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and play-based learning.
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and team members.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide the best possible experience for every child.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
