YWCA Utah is seeking an Assistant Teacher - Floater to join their team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 36 hours per week. The Assistant Teacher will assist in planning, implementing, and supervising educational activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to enhance their emotional and physical growth. They will provide developmentally appropriate care, comfort, and guidance, assist children with social skills, and ensure proper feeding schedules and hygiene standards are met. The role involves working with a teaching team to create a positive and diverse learning environment, maintaining accurate records, monitoring children's health, and ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. The Assistant Teacher will also assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plan materials and supply management. A key aspect of the role is upholding the organization's mission, vision, and values, including a commitment to anti-racism and the Sanctuary Model principles. The position requires maintaining certifications, attending meetings and trainings, and collaborating with staff to ensure campus security.
