Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Previous medical office or insurance authorization experience is preferred.
- Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for surgeries.
- Verify patient insurance and demographic information.
- Coordinate surgical paperwork with physicians, surgery centers, and insurance companies.
- Review records for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with patients and internal teams throughout the surgical process.
- Crosstrain to support Surgical Coordinators and front desk operations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service.
