About The Position

As the Assistant Supervisor, Housekeeping, you play a critical role in supporting housekeeping operations and ensuring service excellence across assigned areas. You’ll work closely with staff to maintain high standards while contributing to a respectful, team-oriented environment. In this role, you’ll step into leadership responsibilities that ensure daily operations run smoothly—especially in the absence of the Senior Housekeeping Supervisor. Requirements

Ability to provide instructions and maintain records, generally acquired through a partial high school education.
Work requires two years of cleaning or related experience necessary to obtain knowledge of scope of housekeeping unit operations, or 2 years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor.
Familiar with accepted supervisory and personnel practices and standards.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections, monitor performance, and maintain records, equipment, and supplies.
Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules and make work assignments across assigned service areas.
Conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure completion of work assignments.
Ensure assignments are properly staffed and that employees have adequate supplies and equipment.
Monitor employee performance, determine when disciplinary action is appropriate, and ensure proper training of new and existing personnel.
Discuss general housekeeping procedures with personnel in assigned areas.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described for this classification.
