About The Position

This role supports the daily execution of residential construction activities for SHAWOOD homes, ensuring projects are built safely, on schedule, and in alignment with the brand’s precision-engineered systems, quality standards and customer expectations. Working under moderate supervision, this position assists with coordinating trade partners, monitoring field activities, and maintaining documentation to support efficient project delivery. The role contributes to consistent execution of SHAWOOD construction methodologies and an elevated homebuilding experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of experience in residential construction, field operations, or related onsite work.
  • Understanding of residential construction processes and building practices.
  • Ability to interpret basic construction documents and scopes of work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clarify information and coordinate onsite activities.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address routine issues using established procedures.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and site priorities.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with trade partners and internal teams.
  • Basic proficiency with construction management software, mobile applications, and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail in documenting progress, issues, and inspection requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing jobsite conditions.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with customers effectively.
  • Self-motivated and possess strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher in construction management or related field; or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily on-site construction activities for assigned SHAWOOD homes, ensuring work aligns with schedules, plans, and quality expectations.
  • Assist in coordinating trade partners to maintain workflow continuity and support proper sequencing of construction activities.
  • Support installation readiness and coordination for SHAWOOD building components, including prefabricated and specialty materials.
  • Monitor jobsite conditions for safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Track construction progress and communicate updates, delays, or issues to the Superintendent.
  • Assist with preparation for inspections, walk-throughs, and Certificate of Occupancy requirements.
  • Observe construction work to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and SHAWOOD quality standards.
  • Support the execution of homeowner orientations and address minor construction-related issues in coordination with sales or management.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, including daily logs, schedules, and inspection records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and trade partners to support consistent execution of SHAWOOD construction practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
