Promotes the company mission statement by joining the Project Manager (PM) and Superintendent (SUP) as a team who collaborate to create a safe work environment, build a quality project, and keep projects on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit. This role involves learning to be the main contact for the project at the jobsite and assisting in overseeing the project to make all critical field decisions or understand from where to get assistance. The Assistant Superintendent will also learn to ensure proper project decisions are made by the PM, ensuring they provide timely and appropriate information and items necessary for the project. Key areas of focus include scheduling, delivery, logistics, staging, phasing, quality control, and employee staffing levels. The role requires the ability to communicate with the Owner and Architect/Engineer relating to field issues, investigate issues, assist in resolving them, and know the proper time to involve Owners and Arc/Engineers.
