The person in this position will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with designing, conducting, and monitoring programs for varsity teams. They will provide support in organizing, implementing, overseeing, and evaluating all aspects of strength and conditioning programming. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in individual and group performance training programs is also preferred, ideally at the collegiate or high school level. The position demands excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, strong initiative, and the ability to learn and apply University policies. General computer knowledge with proficiency in Word and Excel is necessary. A required NSCA-CSCS certification (or equivalent) and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, are essential. The role also requires a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test, and current CPR, AED, and first aid certifications. Compliance with NCAA Division III and athletic conference rules and regulations is mandatory. Physical requirements include the ability to demonstrate and teach sport-specific skills, move about campus, stand/walk for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, possess manual dexterity, and lift up to 65 pounds.
