About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager position is part of the management team at American Girl's Nashville retail store. American Girl Nashville is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Store Manager. This position will report to the Store Manager. The role oversees and manages the operational function of the American Girl Store, maintains and builds business partnerships with the Corporate office as well as other American Girl locations. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of the physical plant, financials, customer service/customer experience, employee relations and training. The Assistant Store Manager works with all levels of management to meet diverse staffing needs, access and deliver training based on needs, and administers policies and procedures that are consistent with a corporate culture committed to providing superior customer service. This role also manages employee development, training, and activities and events at the store, such as AG parties and AG experiences. The Assistant Store Manager provides store supervisory support as part of the store leadership team.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of retail management experience is required.
  • Retail and food service experience required.
  • Strong written, verbal and management experience is required.
  • Work schedule requires evening and weekend work.
