Assistant Store Manager - Spartanburg
About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager by maintaining company policies and operational processes. The role drives daily sales and profit results to meet or exceed budget, manages inventory accuracy, monitors safety programs, develops store associates, maintains store standards, and merchandises the sales floor to maximize the customer experience and enhance customer loyalty. The position also involves recruiting and interviewing candidates, managing cash handling processes and bank deposits, and overseeing general store maintenance. Successful performance requires knowledge of company policies, effective communication, associate development, timely decision-making, and a sense of urgency in executing responsibilities.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in Retail Assistant Store Management or three years of related management experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret sales reporting data to improve store performance.
- Ability to coach and develop staff to be effective in their current roles.
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Dedicated daily ownership of financial and performance goals.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including outside normal business operating hours.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software such as Point of Sale, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
