Assistant Store Manager - Vermillion, SD
About The Position
Runnings is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Vermillion, South Dakota retail location. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager in the overall merchandising, sales, and management of the assigned store and is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service. The role is responsible for overall store sales and expenses, product merchandising and inventory, and coordinating with retail buyers. The hourly pay range is $19.00–$25.00, depending on experience. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Be the Store Manager’s partner in the overall merchandising, sales, and management of the assigned retail store.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Be responsible for overall sales and expenses at the assigned retail store.
- Direct and coordinate the merchandising of products.
- Set priorities for distributing new merchandise throughout the retail store.
- Ensure adequate inventory in all areas.
- Assist customers with purchases, returns, special orders, complaints, and other needs.
- Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate product needs and other product information throughout the assigned store.
- Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
- Delegate authority to managerial personnel as appropriate.
