About The Position

Runnings is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Vermillion, South Dakota retail location. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager in overall merchandising, sales, and management of the assigned store, and provides the highest level of customer service. The role is paid hourly at $19.00–$25.00, depending on experience. Candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall sales and expenses at the assigned retail store.
• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of products.
• Set priorities for distributing new merchandise throughout the retail store.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas.
• Assist customers with purchases, returns, special orders, complaints, and other needs.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to ensure awareness of product needs and other product information throughout the assigned store.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Delegate authority to managerial personnel as appropriate.
