About The Position

StorageMart is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Overland Park, Kansas, at $16.25 per hour. The role supports store operations and business growth while providing customer service by phone, in person, and email. The Assistant Store Manager also opens, operates, and closes the office; performs light property maintenance and cleaning; manages customer accounts and administrative tasks, including debt management; and occasionally travels to support other stores. StorageMart describes itself as a family-owned business operating in the U.K., Canada, and the United States.

Requirements

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to work outdoors and maintain the grounds.
Valid driver’s license, valid insurance, and access to a vehicle; mileage is reimbursed for travel between stores.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Store Manager to support operations, grow the business, and maximize sales.
Assist customers by phone, in person, and email, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
Open, operate, and close the office.
Perform light maintenance and clean the property to help keep it clean, safe, and secure.
Handle customer accounts, assist with account setup, and complete general administrative tasks, including debt management.
Occasionally travel between stores to provide support and maintain consistent standards.
