About The Position

StorageMart is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Waukee, Iowa, at $15.50 per hour. The role supports store operations and business growth while delivering helpful customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure facility. The assistant manager works with the Store Manager, serves customers through phone, face-to-face, and email interactions, manages customer accounts and administrative tasks, and may occasionally travel to support other stores. The position includes opening, operating, and closing the office, as well as light property maintenance and groundskeeping.

Requirements

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to work outdoors and maintain the grounds.
Valid driver’s license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a vehicle; mileage is reimbursed for travel between stores.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Store Manager to support store operations, business growth, and sales.
Serve customers by phone, face-to-face, and email, addressing their needs and providing support.
Open, operate, and close the office.
Perform light maintenance and cleaning to keep the property clean, safe, and secure.
Handle customer accounts, assist with account setup, and perform administrative tasks, including debt management.
Occasionally travel to support other stores and maintain consistent standards across locations.
Work outdoors and maintain the grounds as needed.
