About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to support the growth, profitable operation, and preservation of 7 Brew’s culture, mission, and values. This leader maintains genuine connections with the crew and understands the unique needs of the stand. In addition to scheduled shifts, the role includes coaching, training, administrative duties, and helping oversee operations across all dayparts. The position reports to the Store Manager. This is a pipeline role designed to develop into a Store Manager within 6–12 months. It provides additional leadership support at the home stand, coverage for Store Manager vacancies, assistance with new stand openings, and structured development and coaching toward Store Manager responsibilities.

Requirements

Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions.
Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Ability to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Ability to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line and safely use a utility knife.
Ability to operate any position in the stand during peak hours while maintaining awareness of shift operations.
Ability to address operational, procedural, or cultural issues with team members.
Ability to adapt to problems and implement solutions in stressful situations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and lead and direct different personality types under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience preferred.
One year of coffee shop experience preferred.
Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Be proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets.
Maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, encouragement, and accountability.
Build a positive culture through training, delegation, follow-up, team-building sessions, and frequent, balanced performance feedback.
Work with the Store Manager to create a weekly shift schedule that controls labor costs while supporting quick wait times and short lines.
Support consistent operations and hours of operation across all shifts.
Track and order inventory, small wares, parts, and equipment; maintain a low cost of goods sold by reducing waste and counting and ordering accurately.
Ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change for the stand.
Take ownership of solutions by resolving problems or involving an approved partner or vendor.
Ensure the crew is prepared for health inspections and consistently follows food-safety practices.
Promptly implement and communicate directives from upper management.
Delegate tasks thoughtfully to Shift Leads and Brewistas to improve efficiency and support development.
Assist at other locations relatively close to the home stand when asked.
Perform additional duties specified by Who Brew leadership.
Coach, train, perform administrative duties, and help oversee operations across all dayparts.
Work a minimum of 35 hours per week; keep work above 40 hours minimal and obtain approval for it from designated operations leadership.
Work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings and late nights; regularly work weekends and be available for holidays if necessary.
