About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports daily operations at one or more self-storage locations under the guidance of the District Manager and Store Manager. The role helps maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence, builds customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, presents a structured sales process, and manages customer accounts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer-facing work experience.
• A current valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for daily bank deposits and travel to other sites as needed, except in New York City and Brooklyn.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
• Maintain site cleanliness through ongoing facility and grounds maintenance, including the office and the interior and exterior of storage buildings.
• Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usage.
• Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with Extra Space employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
