About The Position

The Assistant Store Leader of Operations supports the Store Leader in achieving all store objectives, including exceptional guest service, sales targets, expense management, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation, while fostering associate and guest engagement. This role involves providing outstanding guest service through relationship building, product knowledge, and maintaining a clean store environment. Operations Leaders are expected to drive sales, improve operational efficiencies, and develop team talent.

Requirements

  • 1 year Retail Management experience
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, which could require prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling and/or squatting frequently.
  • May be required to occasionally climb ladders, climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Store Leader by directing activities to achieve all store goals.
  • Provide best of class guest service.
  • Achieve sales objectives.
  • Manage operating expenses.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies.

  • Drive associate and guest engagement.
  • Provide guests with exceptional service through relationship building and product knowledge.

  • Manage shipment and product preparation process (steaming, hanging, etc.).
  • Plan and manage merchandise markdown process.
  • Manage supply orders, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Manage inventory/damages audits.
  • Manage banking and loss prevention systems.
  • Train new associates on operational processes.
  • Co-manage payroll and be responsible for the store’s financial performance.
  • Make decisions regarding store operations and planning.
  • Control workflow through successful planning and delegation.
  • Execute task directives within designated time frames.
  • Complete opening/closing procedures.
  • Adhere to loss prevention practices and report potential incidents to ensure shortage control.
  • Communicate effectively with the executive team.
  • Utilize and manage weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales.
  • Interpret Home Office communication through Store Leader / District Leader partnership.
  • Partner with the Visual District Leader and Visual Assistant Store Leader to oversee and manage the roll-out of floorsets, window sets, fixture placement, and overall visual environment.
  • Maintain awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment and communicate with the team.
  • Communicate performance observations and offer feedback to the District Leader.
