About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an ASL Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year in the Burnsville, MN area. This is a full-time, in-person position where the paraprofessional will work 1:1 with a third-grade student. The role requires fluency in American Sign Language and passing a background check and drug screening. Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company focused on support and mentorship for school-based professionals.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in American Sign Language
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR Paraprofessional Credential through Minnesota Department of Education (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments or credentialed on the PELSB rubric)
• Must pass drug screening and background check

• Experience in school-based settings preferred
