Paraprofessionals work with students in small-scale classrooms on the residential campus and at the community Education Center. They support children in their care as they receive treatment, education, and work towards individualized goals. The children in care have experienced serious trauma, leading to intense behavioral issues. Paraprofessionals assist Teachers in classrooms, implement lessons, and support students in the educational environment. They also participate in various outdoor activities such as basketball, volleyball, hiking, fishing, and rollerblading, as well as indoor activities like movies, games, drawing, and other hobbies. Paraprofessionals serve as role models, meeting children at their current phase of treatment, building quality relationships, and setting healthy boundaries using a Trauma Informed Care approach. They are crucial to the successful treatment process for these children.
