About The Position

The Assistant Apartment Maintenance Supervisor reports to a Senior Property Manager and operates under the supervision of the Senior Service Manager. The role assists with coordinating general maintenance and repairs for apartment homes and other facilities at an assigned apartment community. The Assistant Service Manager coordinates maintenance work order assignments and priorities with the Senior Property Manager and Senior Service Manager, handles the most complex maintenance work orders, and responds promptly and courteously to service requests. The position also facilitates and leads assigned on-site maintenance activities as an extension of the Senior Service Manager, and assists with mentoring and on-the-job training for assigned maintenance staff, which may include painters and landscaping staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, and two to four years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
HVAC experience.
EPA Type II or EPA Universal license.
For Florida locations, CAMT license at the time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt and courteous responses to service requests.
Facilitate and lead assigned on-site maintenance activities as an extension of the Senior Service Manager.
