About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager with a “Whatever It Takes” approach to join our team! In this full-time role, you will primarily support High Acres while also providing support across Meadows, Canal Crossing, and Steeplechase as needed. This position is ideal for a strong maintenance professional who can balance leadership with hands-on support while partnering closely with the Service Manager to ensure our communities meet company standards and applicable laws. Requirements

  • Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • One-year certificate, 2–4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA/CFC certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
  • Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance, carpentry, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
  • Support the Service Manager with day-to-day maintenance operations while maintaining a strong team-first mentality.
  • Be accountable for establishing and preparing a 24-hour on-call schedule for your team.
  • Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
  • Establish an on-call schedule, preventative maintenance schedule, make-ready schedule, and general work order schedule for the team.
  • Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
  • Provide support across multiple communities within the regional portfolio when needed.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
