We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager with a "Whatever It Takes" approach to join our team! In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of this 347-unit apartment community in New Castle, DE (William Penn) meet both company standards and applicable laws.

Requirements

Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, with multifamily or transferable industry experience.
Comfortable with technology platforms, including mobile apps, email, training systems

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting or leading a team in a fast-paced environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and mentor a team of technicians in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
Support and help oversee daily production schedules, including work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance across a high-volume community.
Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and repairs related to top service drivers.
Be accountable for supporting and participating in a 24-hour on-call schedule for your team, including availability during weather-related or on-site emergencies.
Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials to ensure efficiency and readiness.
Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
