This role supports the site implementation of the Safety Management System Plan, comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and tools to enhance compliance with corporate direction in efforts to reduce accidents/injuries in the workplace. The Assistant Safety Manager Maintenance will monitor compliance with the KTA’s SMS policies and procedures, conducting ongoing safety auditing, and ensuring all relevant statutory and regulatory safety policies are applied and adhered to. This position also involves monitoring and evaluating the continued effectiveness of risk control strategies, identifying and assessing new hazards, and overseeing the ongoing monitoring and recording of safety performance. Additionally, the role contributes to the safety culture through exemplary safety-oriented behaviors, ensuring a just culture, and planning, scheduling, and delivering monthly safety meetings. Proactive leadership in safety improvement campaigns in the field is also a key aspect of this role.
