ABOUT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. Just one year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth United States Open Championship. Today the Club is nearly 3,000 members strong with two campuses. It is widely recognized as one of the top 50 country clubs in the nation and top 100 in the world. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ASSISTANT RESTAURANT CHEF The full-time Assistant Restaurant Chef will have the responsibility of assisting in managing the Club's a la carte restaurant kitchens. This individual will support the Restaurant Chef with menu design and the timeliness and quality of the food products served to our members and guests. Most importantly, the Assistant Restaurant Chef will assist in training the culinary team, as well as direct and assist staff in the preparation, seasoning, expediting, and cooking of all orders. QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must have proven experience in successfully leading a culinary staff in a restaurant. They must have experience with upscale casual American cuisines and other cuisines common in the North Atlantic region. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of culinary math, ordering and Microsoft Word and Excel. A culinary school graduate or equivalent industry experience is required.
