About The Position

Assistant Residential Director – Adult Services Chicopee/East Longmeadow/Springfield, MA | Full-Time Lead with Heart. Support with Purpose. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with Autism and developmental disabilities. As an Assistant Residential Director (ARD), you will oversee a cluster of group homes, supporting Program Managers and staff to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centered programming.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, highly preferred if in Human Services or related field.
3+ years’ experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and implementing physical intervention/crisis management strategies
3+ years supervisory experience managing programs and leading teams.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain professionalism under stress.
Valid and current U.S. driver’s license, 1+ years licensed driving experience, and ability to travel between program sites.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor Program Managers, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Oversee staff schedules, assignments, and daily operations to ensure smooth, safe programs.
Ensure individualized programs and behavioral goals are implemented effectively.
Maintain compliance with organizational and state standards, including documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with clinical, facilities, and family teams to resolve operational challenges.
Participate in the residential on-call rotation, providing guidance and support during crises.
