About The Position

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets. At this time, we are looking for an Assistant Resident Manager to join our team to share on-call responsibilities at our properties on 964 Smyth Road and 621 Cummings Avenue in Ottawa. This is a live-in role at 964 Smyth (Luma) and compensation will consist of a partial rental benefit, within the range of $10,000-$15,000 annually.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning, basic maintenance, and customer service
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Previous experience in the Property Management industry
• Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Shared on-call responsibilities
• Tenant relations, inquiries and rental calls
• First-line problem solving to manage tenant issues
