About The Position
The Piper, a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Kansas City, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant Resident Care Coordinator (ADON). This role supports clinical operations and leads the resident care team. It is ideal for a clinically strong, people-first leader aiming for senior nursing leadership within a supportive community that invests in its team. The position involves auditing medication records, coordinating pharmacy updates, completing resident assessments, developing care plans, consulting with families and physicians, monitoring the medication administration program, assisting residents with daily living activities, managing and scheduling resident care staff, and fulfilling Manager on Duty responsibilities. The role also assists the Resident Care Coordinator in daily clinical operations and directs Resident Assistants.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Med Tech certification required if not licensed
- General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
- Ability to manage team processes and promote a team environment
Nice To Haves
- RN or LPN license preferred
- Experience or training in an equivalent senior living setting preferred
- RN/LPN or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Audit Medication Administration Records (MARs) and coordinate pharmacy updates
- Complete resident assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Consult with families and physicians to coordinate proper resident care
- Monitor all aspects of the medication administration program
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Manage, direct, and schedule resident care staff
- Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned
- Support the Resident Care Coordinator in daily clinical operations
- Direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and help coordinate services to residents
- Complete scheduling for resident care staff
- Assist coworkers with other duties as needed
