The Assistant Registrar Incoming Loans will be responsible for coordinating the shipment of artworks to and from the museum for potential acquisition or extended loan. This role involves initial data entry into the museum’s collection database (TMS), preparing loan agreements, and serving as the primary point of contact with lenders regarding paperwork, shipping, and artwork condition. The position requires documenting the unpacking process, conducting initial condition examinations, and performing initial cataloging of loaned artworks according to museum standards. Additionally, the role involves creating, updating, and maintaining organized physical and digital loan files, and assisting with other Collections projects as needed.
