About The Position

As an employee of Barker Management Incorporated ("Company"), the authorized property management agent for various developments, the Assistant Regional Manager – Resident Liaison is responsible for overseeing resident services operations, resident relations, compliance with housing authority requirements, and coordination with on-site management teams. This position provides guidance and support to site staff, ensures resident concerns are addressed timely, oversees recertification processes, coordinates legal and grievance matters, and promotes positive resident and staff relationships across assigned communities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years management or related experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Above average computer skills using MS Word and MS Excel
  • Above average organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support resident services activities at assigned communities.
  • Conduct and/or oversee monthly resident meetings.
  • Conduct weekly property management and resident services meetings.
  • Coordinate and monitor legal matters including lease violations, Pay or Quit notices, informal meetings, resident huddles prior to legal referrals, and court appearances as required.
  • Ensure resident services staff complete annual recertifications with HACLA and LACDA in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor the status of recertifications to ensure required notices are generated and completed within required deadlines.
  • Oversee resident grievance processes and ensure concerns are addressed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow up on resident issues, complaints, and concerns to ensure timely resolution.
  • Review, track, and respond to resident incidents and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training on-site staff.
  • Evaluate and standardize procedures to improve efficiency in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Promote and maintain harmony and a positive team attitude among development staff.
  • Prepare and disseminate required reports to ownership and investors in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with Regional Managers, Operations, Human Resources, and site staff regarding significant resident, legal, staffing, and operational issues.
  • Provide executive leadership with updates regarding vacancies, receivables, recertifications, legal matters, resident issues, staffing concerns, and other significant property matters.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of property management, compliance, and accounting systems.
  • Other duties as assigned
