About The Position

The Assistant Quality Manager supports process and product quality across design and manufacturing activities. The role assists in developing robust quality systems by validating processes, providing documentation, and auditing systems. The Assistant Quality Manager guides staff when the Quality Manager is absent and supports efforts to maximize customer satisfaction, improve supplier quality, and minimize quality costs and waste. The position collaborates with all site departments to achieve KPIs and continuously improve the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
CQE, CQM, or similar certification.
Seven years of quality assurance/control or similar leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
Good people skills.
Highly conscientious and diligent.

Responsibilities

Build a teamwork culture that encourages employees to improve actual processes, not just numbers.
Collaborate with site staff to continuously improve processes and meet or exceed KPIs.
Facilitate training and coaching for site staff in the use of problem-solving tools; guide the use of LPA's and internal audits.
Communicate customer requirements and expectations and assist in resolving claims.
Interface with various agencies to support the Quality department.
Collaborate with purchasing staff to monitor supplier performance, assess supplier product specifications and quality plans, and conduct supplier audits.
Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
Investigate customer complaints.
