About The Position

JLL is seeking an Assistant Property Manager (APM) to join their growing Retail property management team in Virginia. The APM will provide support to Property Manager(s) in all areas of management for assigned properties, including maintenance, tenant relations, collections, monthly reporting, annual budgeting, risk management, property improvements, contract preparation, collection of certificates of insurance, sales collection, and accounts payables. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The APM will act as a liaison between tenants and building staff to ensure buildings are clean, functional, and welcoming. Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting a commercial property management team.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience working with Property Management financials.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Yardi, AP/AR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to the Property Manager(s) in all areas of management for the assigned properties.
  • Managing maintenance, tenant relations, collections, monthly reporting, annual budgeting, risk management, property improvements, preparation of contracts, collection of certificates of insurance, sales collection and accounts payables.
  • Ensuring compliance to all JLL processes, procedures and platforms.
  • Interacting with tenants, assisting with budgets and financial reports, reconciling A/R accounts and coding invoices, tracking certificates of insurance.
  • Acting as the liaison between tenants and building staff to ensure buildings are clean, functional and welcoming.
  • Acting decisively, thinking big, and managing time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
