About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Superintendent to support the Project Superintendent in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations on our active construction renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the supervision of projects from commencement through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are strictly maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential renovation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and tasks across active job sites.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction, construction management or as an assistant superintendent preferably in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple trades and meet aggressive timelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required by business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in occupied affordable housing environments strongly preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred, OSHA 30 Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Superintendent in leading onsite activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Support the supervision and coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.
  • Review and enforce all contracts and specifications with Subcontractors.
  • Help enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Schedule inspections, track progress, and maintain accurate daily reports/logs.
  • Maintain and upload project records (I.e., daily reports, weekly reports, progress photos, schedules, safety plan and other necessary items) in SharePoint.
  • Assist in conducting regular site meetings to monitor progress, address concerns, and drive resolutions.
  • Monitor material deliveries and manage inventory to avoid delays.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed, and high standards are maintained.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, local officials, and other external project stakeholders.
  • Step in for Project Superintendent on assigned tasks or in their absence, as needed.
