Requirements

  • 7 years’ experience in the construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Assists the project manager in managing construction projects, to include planning, directing, coordinating or budgeting activities relating to construction.
  • Assists in meeting job requirements and controlling costs by coordinating and effectively utilizing all of the resources needed on each project.
  • Assists in assessing scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.
  • Assists in verifying complete estimates for projects with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, contracting, etc.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control) and providing day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff.
  • Provides technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
  • Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Assists in monitoring the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance of the project.
  • Assists in the administration of financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and estimates the remaining cost to complete cash flow forecasting and resource planning.
  • Has responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing and executing an effective Safety and Health Program on the project.
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
