Assistant Program Manager - West Side
About The Position
Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for its Westside Residential Program in Rutland, MA. This program serves females aged 12-21 with various psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. The program utilizes a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) clinical model to help clients develop essential life skills such as emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. The goal is to prepare students for less restrictive settings, family reunification, or independent living. The Assistant Program Manager will work with a dedicated team to provide therapeutic interventions, assist in program planning and implementation, and support program management, contributing to the growth and well-being of vulnerable youth.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High School Diploma with two years of congregate care experience or Bachelor’s degree with one year of congregate care experience required.
- Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
Nice To Haves
- Degrees in the subject area of psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- MAP certified (for additional bonus)
Responsibilities
- Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
- Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision and a positive working environment.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
- Assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed.
- Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills.
