As a Security Officer in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to report observations and assist visitors and personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notification protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs while maintaining awareness of chemical-related hazards and restricted areas.
