About The Position

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager at our Woodside residential group home in Torrington, CT. This role involves establishing life-changing relationships with participants to optimize their independence, rehabilitation, and recovery. Woodside is dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive environment for individuals with persistent psychiatric conditions, enabling them to live safely and successfully within the community. The program specifically supports clients who have experienced longstanding challenges with community living and have a history of repeated psychiatric hospitalizations.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
At least 2 years experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Valid license and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
Approved criminal background and driving check

Can be used as a first step for direct care staff to demonstrate management abilities.
