About The Position

Supports the Program Director with administrative leadership for aspects of program operation. This role involves implementing strategies, collecting and furnishing outcome data, participating in program director councils, overseeing contributing faculty, and collaborating with program leadership on curriculum quality, assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement. The position also includes supervising students, managing student issues, and representing the University in marketing activities. A reduced teaching workload is provided to support administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered RN license and eligible for licensure in states required by the academic program.
  • Earned doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field (DNP, PhD, EdD, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three years of graduate nursing education experience required.
  • Experience with curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation, including competency-based education and assessment strategies in advanced nursing education.
  • Experience with program evaluation, outcomes assessment, and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with state, regional, and programmatic accreditation standards and processes, including CCNE, state higher education agencies, state boards of nursing, and national APRN certification requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting academic, clinical, and program outcome data.
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills to faculty, students, outside constituents.
  • Able to work independently with numerous projects/tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Able to work in a team environment and promote collaboration.
  • Models core values and takes an active role in enforcing University policies.
  • Demonstrates effective interactions with University support services.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage change.
  • Has the ability to travel to off-site locations for marketing and community/professional activities.
  • Current state license (or eligible) in academic program.

Nice To Haves

  • National APRN certification and licensure preferred.
  • Graduate nursing program administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to achieve goals, both locally and across the academic program that are consistent with the goals and policies of the University and professional accreditation bodies.
  • Collect, prepare and furnish outcome data and relevant information about the program as required by the University and professional accreditation bodies and maintain systematic evaluation.
  • Participate, as requested, in Program Director Council to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate contributing faculty in areas related to the professional program.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to support curriculum quality, competency-based assessment, accreditation compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and program evaluation activities.
  • Supervise students of the program by dealing with student issues such as complaints, appeals, and misconduct.
  • Participate in marketing activities and other activities as a representative of the University.
  • Other duties as assigned by the program director.
