About The Position

The Department of Pharmacy Administration at The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy is seeking an individual for a full time, tenure-track position for the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. or comparable degree in pharmacy administration, health services research, or related field is required by the time of employment. Experience in or knowledge of the health care system and/or the field of pharmacy is required. The position offers the potential for growth in an established program committed to excellence in pharmacy and graduate education. Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or comparable degree in pharmacy administration, health services research, or related field is required by the time of employment.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the health care system and/or the field of pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching at the professional and graduate levels
  • Initiation of research projects
  • Participation in collaborative research projects of mutual interest
  • Teaching basic statistics and other aspects of social and administrative pharmacy, such as quality measurement, to pharmacy students
  • Data management (including use and applications of statistical software and artificial intelligence) to graduate students
  • Areas of research interest may include pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacy management, practice research, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research, health policy, or social behavioral research.
