The Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering (VSCEB) at Washington State University (WSU) invites applications for a full-time, permanent, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. The position will be located at the WSU Pullman campus, and the individual hired will be expected to join VSCEB on August 16, 2027. The successful candidate is expected to establish a dynamic, externally funded, nationally recognized research program, teach core and elective undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering, mentor a diverse group of students, perform professional service, and publish scholarly work. VSCEB welcomes strong candidates in all areas of bioengineering, particularly candidates who can complement existing departmental strengths in molecular and cellular engineering, synthetic biology, biomanufacturing, tissue engineering, biomechanics, and engineering education and the growing expertise in Artificial Intelligence applications. Successful candidates will be able to build collaborations with the Elson Floyd College of Medicine at WSU Spokane and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, as well as other departments at WSU.
