The Department of Geological Sciences at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Engineering Geology or Applied Geosciences. The ideal candidate will have industry or government experience and the ability to mentor students towards professional licensure. Preferred areas of expertise include geotechnical analysis, site investigation, hazard assessment, civil, mining, and environmental projects, shallow imaging for engineering applications, and remote sensing. The position involves teaching courses such as Engineering Geology, a specialized course in the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., site investigation, advanced field geology), general education courses like environmental geology, and other departmental needs. The role also includes mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in research.
