About The Position
The Department of Kinesiology at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Adapted Physical Education (APE) and Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE). This position, effective August 2027, will primarily focus on teaching APE courses, but may also include PETE, Kinesiology core courses, and professional preparation activity courses. CSUSB is a diverse, Hispanic-serving institution committed to equity and inclusion. Requirements
- Earned degrees in Kinesiology/Physical Education with APE and PETE specializations or related areas.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- ABD (All But Dissertation) considered for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position.
- Degree completion required by the time of appointment.
- Demonstrated commitment of working successfully with diverse student population.
- A documented commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service is expected.

Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Kinesiology.
- Maintain a robust and ongoing research agenda.

- Advise students.
- Perform career-related service roles on and off campus for the department, college, university, and professional societies.
- Lead activities that will advance scholarly excellence in Kinesiology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population.
- Work effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines.
