The School of Labor and Employment Relations at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor , to start Fall 2026. Responsibilities include a combination of resident and online instruction, research, and normal university service. The teaching load during the academic year is four courses . On-site teaching is an essential function of this job. Applicants should possess a terminal degree (Ph.D.) in human resource management, organizational behavior, or a related field by the appointment date. Expertise is particularly sought in the related fields of ethics, organizational behavior, and leadership. Candidates for Assistant Professor in the School of Labor and Employment Relations must have demonstrated ability as a researcher, scholar, and teacher in a relevant field and have evidence of growth in scholarly achievement. The School of Labor and Employment Relations is a dynamic, multidisciplinary program that wishes to strengthen further its high-profile tenure-line faculty . The school has a growing multidisciplinary program with residential and online B.A. and B.S. degrees in Labor and Human Resources and Organizational Leadership , and a professional master’s program in Human Resources and Employment Relations . In residence, there is also an MS in Human Resources and Employment Relations and a Doctoral Minor.
