The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park (www.chbe.umd.edu), invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position. The successful candidate will develop an impactful, externally funded research program, teach, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to the department’s collaborative culture and broader mission. This will include strong scholarly work, innovative instruction at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, participation in faculty governance and institution-building, service to the broader scientific community, and building partnerships within the department, the A. James Clark School of Engineering and the university, as well as with industrial, governmental, or community partners. Applicants with a research focus on biomanufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, process design/control, and women’s health will be of particular interest, especially those applying machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches.
