About The Position

Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Administration The Department of Pharmacy Administration at The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy is seeking an individual for a full time, tenure-track position for the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. or comparable degree in pharmacy administration, health services research, or related field is required by the time of employment. Experience in or knowledge of the health care system and/or the field of pharmacy is required. Responsibilities for this position include: teaching at the professional and graduate levels, initiation of research projects, and participation in collaborative research projects of mutual interest. Specific teaching responsibilities will include teaching basic statistics and other aspects of social and administrative pharmacy, such as quality measurement, to pharmacy students, and data management (including use and applications of statistical software and artificial intelligence) to graduate students. Areas of research interest may include pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacy management, practice research, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research, health policy, or social behavioral research. The successful applicant will have opportunities to collaborate with eight full-time pharmacy administration faculty and to capitalize on collaborative relationships with faculty in other academic departments on campus. The successful applicant will also enjoy affiliation with the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and collaborative opportunities with the Center for Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management, a center of excellence in pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacy management, and medication use outcomes research, and is home to Medicare, Medicaid and other data that support its research mission. The position offers the potential for growth in an established program committed to excellence in pharmacy and graduate education.
