The Department of Economics at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2027, preferably with a specialization in Industrial Organization, Environmental Economics, Energy, or Public Economics. Economics at James Madison University is a strong and successful department with 21 full-time faculty. JMU economics graduates have distinguished themselves in a variety of careers. In addition to its major programs, the economics department supports the College of Business and programs across campus with top-quality instruction. The Department of Economics resides in the College of Business. The AACSB-accredited College of Business includes nationally ranked undergraduate and graduate programs.
