About The Position

The Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Louisville is seeking qualified applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. This role involves teaching Hematology/Oncology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students. The position also includes providing comprehensive patient care for hematologic and oncologic diseases, participating in clinical services, on-call duties, and service rotations at University of Louisville Health hospitals and clinics. Additionally, the faculty member will contribute to clinical trials, basic science and translational research, support the development of multidisciplinary cancer programs, and design/contribute to protocol development and prospective clinical research. The recruit is expected to dedicate a significant portion of their time to protocol development and prospective clinical research.

Requirements

  • Medical degree: MD, MD/PhD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Oncology & Hematology Fellowship Training program.
  • Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology & Hematology specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Hematology/Oncology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students.
  • Providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Participating in clinical service, on-call coverage, and service rotations at University of Louisville Health hospitals and clinics.
