About The Position

National law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join its Northwest Arkansas office. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide comprehensive secretarial support to multiple attorneys within the litigation department while collaborating closely with a team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal support professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collegial, and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of information.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum 3 years of legal admin experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Litigation and trial preparation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, coordinate, and proofread documents, correspondence, and memoranda in accordance with firm standards.
  • Utilize the firm’s document management and email integration systems for drafting, revision, clean-up, and comparison.
  • Generate, organize, copy, scan, and maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Accurately enter attorney time and expenses into the firm’s timekeeping software and manage related accounting deadlines.
  • Answer telephones, respond to client inquiries, and handle communications professionally and confidentially.
  • Maintain attorney calendars by scheduling court appearances, conferences, and meetings; monitor and docket court notifications.
  • File pleadings with courts, including through electronic filing systems.
  • Coordinate attorney travel arrangements and business itineraries.
  • Assist in maintaining attorney CLE records and bar association memberships.
  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
