About The Position

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is seeking to fill two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level. We are open to all areas within ECE, with particular interest in fields such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, microelectronics and integrated circuits and systems, computer engineering, control systems and robotics, electronic, photonic and quantum integrated systems, power and energy systems, signal processing, data science, and engineering education. The positions are full-time, multi-year appointments with 9-month service periods. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2027. The University of Washington (UW) ECE provides an innovative, collaborative, and inclusive setting where faculty and students work together to find impactful solutions. The Seattle area offers a rich environment with numerous industrial research laboratories, leading technology companies, and a dynamic entrepreneurial community, all contributing to a stimulating intellectual atmosphere. Requirements

  • Must have earned a doctorate (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or related field, by the date of appointment.
